Carla has been awarded in different competitions such as the Mainake Prize from the Promúsica Association of Málaga, the Leioa "César Uceda" Young Performers Competition, “David Russell” Awards, "Intercentros Melómano", "Ciudad de Cuenca" Competition, AIE Prize, "Cidade de Vigo" Prize or “Villa de Llanes International Viola Competition”.
Her artistic career includes notable collaborations with various chamber ensembles, as well as significant participations in internationally renowned festivals, such as the "Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival", "Chamber Fest München", "Rostock Sommercampus Musik Festival", "International Chamber Music Festival Musethica" and the "International Musicians Seminar Prussia Cove".
Carla has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Julia Fischer, Nils Mönkemeyer, Alexandra Scott, Reto Bieri, Priya Michelle, Markus Bellheim, Lena Neudauer, Yuval Gotlibovich, Erica Wise and Sara Bitlloch.
In May 2015 she made her debut as a soloist performing the Fantasy for viola and orchestra by Johann Nepomuk Hummel. As a soloist she has performed with orchestras such as the "Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock", Promúsica of Málaga Orchestra and Forum Musikae Orchestra.
Furthermore, Carla has been the recipient of training scholarships from prestigious institutions such as the “AIE Society” and the “Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation”. Her excellence and artistic promise have led her to be selected as "Artist 2024" of the AIE-classics, with a series of concerts scheduled in Spain for the coming months.
Carla Guillén García (1999, Madrid) began studying violin at the age of 4 at the CEDAM academy in Madrid with Sergio Castro and María José Cid. In 2006 she started at the Joaquín Turina Professional Conservatory in Madrid with the viola. She finished her professional degree studies at the age of sixteen, achieving the highest honors, obtaining the End of Degree Prize in Viola and the Extraordinary Award of the Community of Madrid, under the direction of Professor Ignacio G. de la Cuesta. During her higher degree she studied with maestros Ashan Pillai, Laure Gaudron, Wenting Kang and the Casals Quartet. She is pursuing a Master's degree at the prestigious "Hochschule für Musik und Theater" in Munich under the tutelage of maestro Nils Mönkemeyer.
